Update from the Complementary and Over the Counter Medicines Branch at TGA
Abstract
The purpose of this session is to provide attendees an update from the Complementary and Over the Counter Medicines Branch at TGA on current and future planned activities.
Biography
Avi is currently the Assistant Secretary of the Complementary and Over the Counter Medicines Branch in the Therapeutic Goods Administration, in the Department of Health and Aged Care. Prior to this he spent more than 15 years working in First Nations policy and programs, including leading the Health Protection & Workforce Branch in the First Nations Health Division and the Business and Economic Policy Branch in the National Indigenous Australians Agency. He also spent 10 years in Darwin, working predominantly in service delivery. Avi is an alumni of the University of Sydney where he studied anthropology and public policy, as well as George Washington University where he studied international development.
