Aselle Adaim is the Head of Regional Study Management at BeiGene, with nearly 25 years of experience in the clinical research industry. She brings deep operational expertise and a passion for driving inclusive research practices. Aselle is a strong advocate for advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in clinical trials—an area closely aligned with BeiGene’s core belief that cancer has no borders, and neither do we.

Advancing Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in Clinical Trials: Bridging the Gap Between Sponsors and Sites

Biography

Prof Wei Chua is Director of Medical Oncology at Liverpool Hospital and was appointed Professor of Oncology and Cancer Care at Western Sydney University in 2020. Her research interestests include translational research in predicting treatment response and adverse events and improving equity and access for cancer patients in southwest Sydney. She chairs the Steering Committee for the Australian Cantre for Cancer Equity (AcCE) which aims to pioneer transformative research to address and eliminate disparities in cancer outcomes. She was Director of Clinical Trials for Medical Oncology at Liverpool Hospital for over 10 years overseeing a significant clinical trials portfolio and expansion of the medical oncology clinical trials unit.

Biography

Bronwyn is a General Board Member of the New Zealand Association of Clinical Research and a Clinical Study Manager at Roche Products New Zealand. With a background as a pharmacist in New Zealand and Ireland, Bronwyn returned to New Zealand to take on the role of Global Medical Information Lead at Roche Products. Currently, as a Clinical Study Manager at Roche, she oversees the initiation and ongoing management of local and regional clinical trials. Bronwyn has a special interest in promoting equity in clinical research, aiming to improve access for Māori and Pasifika patients, as well as for New Zealanders in rural, regional, and remote locations.

Biography

Dr Rayan Saleh Moussa is an early-career researcher gaining recognition for her contributions to and advocacy for health equity, diversity and inclusion in palliative and cancer clinical research. She is passionate about advancing these principles, particularly for ethnically diverse communities. Dr Saleh Moussa is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with the IMPACCT centre at the University of Technology Sydney. She is also the National Manager of two national clinical trial collaboratives, the Palliative Care Clinical Studies Collaborative and the Cancer Symptom Trials collaborative, based within IMPACCT.
