C19b NSW Health Research and Innovation Strategy
Abstract
The NSW Health Research and Innovation Strategy outlines an ambitious forward-looking plan for research and innovation in NSW. Released on 7 May, the five-year strategy provides the path toward a vibrant research and innovation ecosystem that improves the experience of delivering and receiving care; system efficiency and sustainability; and equity in access and health outcomes. Informed by extensive stakeholder consultation, the strategy aims to cement NSW as Australia’s innovation and investment powerhouse for health and medical research; while clearly identifying that we need to do more for Aboriginal people, women’s health, people living with rare diseases, and the health of people from various cultural and social backgrounds.
