Over 30+ years’ experience with Clinical Trials in Pharma and CRO and a few industry bodies, in a variety of line management and technical roles, working across a variety of portfolios in Asia Pacific and Australia and New Zealand. Development and management of local, regional, and global requirements in global Clinical Trial and Quality Management System (QMS). Line Management of employees for Clinical Trials, Medical Quality and Training responsibilities. Auditing vendors and Investigator Sites and the vendor qualification expert. Management of Clinical Trial Warehousing for Australia and New Zealand, ordering, labelling including Third Party Labelling, shipping, distribution and destruction of Clinical Trial material and Commercial Stock. Depth of experience working cross-functionally and cross-culturally in local, regional, and global roles across all levels of the organisation. Previous experience in Genetically Modified Organisms, including inspections. Currently, in a Global role in Continuous improvement role in Global Clinical Supplies. Co- Lead of the Australia and New Zealand Rainbow Alliance at MSD and member of the Proud Science Alliance APAC group.

Ian works within the oncology clinical research team at AstraZeneca here in Australia and also co-chairs the newly emerged chapter of the Proud Science Alliance APAC, a collective of representatives from local pharma/device/healthcare companies working together to raise the bar on LGBTQIA+ inclusion within the industry.

Biography
Dr Rayan Saleh Moussa is the National Manager of both the Palliative Care Clinical Studies Collaborative (PaCCSC) and the Cancer Symptom Trials (CST) collaborative, and CST postdoctoral research fellow, based at the University of Technology Sydney. Rayan is leading various projects that aim to improve the quality of life and wellbeing of people living with cancer. One of these projects is to investigate the underrepresentation of culturally and linguistically diverse communities in clinical research, with an initial focus on the Arabic speaking community.
