Abstract
What is the MTP sector and who are the key stakeholders (in Australia and internationally); what are the key processes that are utilised to get new therapies to patients? The first session will focus on a broad discussion of the sector, its stakeholders, key process, personnel, and their role in getting medicines and devices to patients.
Biography
Joseph (Joe) Badolato has over 25 years’ experience in senior management roles in the medical technology, biotechnology and pharmaceuticals sectors.
As the Chief Business Development Officer with Adjutor Healthcare, he engages with biotech, MedTech and pharmaceutical companies to help them deliver their product development, regulatory, clinical and commercialisation plans. Joe is an effective communicator, focused on building relationships with stakeholders and decision-makers. Most importantly, he is passionate about contributing to the advancement of healthcare services for the benefit of patients.
He has a vast local and international network and broad experience working with stakeholders from government, research institutions, small and large sponsors and manufacturers.
Joe also has a proven track record in strategy implementation, clinical operations, training, and quality. During his tenure at ARCS Australia (an Australian peak professional body), he was responsible for the development and implementation of strategic and operational plans (which included projects in the Asia Pacific region) and delivered the first TransCelerate accredited GCP program in Australia. Joe holds a BSc (Hons) in Genetics and a PhD in Molecular Biology (Endocrinology) from the University of New South Wales.

Biography
Tanya has worked on Commonwealth and State government projects and for the UK National Institute of Health and Care Research (NIHR). She has authored or co-authored several national guidelines and resources, including the NIHR Clinical Trials Toolkit, the Australian Clinical Trials Handbook, the NHMRC Safety Monitoring and Reporting Guidelines and Serious Breach Guidelines, and the ACTA/CTIQ Consumer Involvement and Engagement Toolkit. Tanya has provided clinical trial and GCP training to over 80,000 people.
