Biography
Qiao is an experienced executive management and clinical research professional with over 20 years of industry experience in clinical research organisations, pharmaceutical companies, and academic institutions.
Over the years, Qiao has held in a number of roles in clinical, quality, project and people management. Qiao led a business unit that specialised in the delivery of early phase clinical trials that gave her the opportunity to work with a wide cross-section of the health sector and to promote the conduct of clinical trials in Australia.
Qiao enjoys building high performing teams and engaging stakeholders include clinicians, researchers, state and federal government agencies, c-suite executives, industry elites, biotech companies, and advocacy groups.

Biography
Anne has over 25 years’ experience in the health, medical research and policy sectors. She is responsible for leading the development and implementation of major policies and programs to enhance medical research capacity in NSW, and raise the profile of NSW research and development nationally and internationally. She is responsible for the NSW Medical Device Fund and NSW Commercialisation Training Program – both have been critical to accelerating the development of NSW intellectual property and the next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs in NSW.
Anne holds a Bachelor of Science (Physiology and Pharmacology) (Hons) and an Executive Masters of Public Administration (ANZSOG).

Biography
Prof Julie White, as the Executive Director, Office of Research and Innovation in the Clinical Planning and Service Strategy Division of Queensland Health, is responsible for matching Queensland research capabilities – in hospitals, universities, research institutes and businesses – with partners, and translating research into improved health outcomes for patients.
Julie leads the strategic direction of medical research, including ethics and governance for clinical trials, at all Queensland public hospitals. She oversees the Australian Teletrial Program which is making clinical trials more accessible for patients in remote regions of Australia. She also leads the Department of Health’s international business development activities.
Prior to joining Queensland Health, Julie was the Director of Health, Research and Enterprise Development at Deakin University. She has held Chief Executive roles at companies and research centres in Australia and Europe.
