ARCS Australia is offering a careers day on Thursday 8 June as part of the 2023 ARCS Annual Conference. The conference is widely regarded as the must attend health sector event. Delegates include students, industry professionals, clinical trial site personnel, researchers, academics, senior government executives and more.

ARCS Australia is offering a limited number of scholarships to students wanting to attend the careers day. The day is for students enrolled in a life science, biomedical science, pharmacy, nursing, medical or related degree. Places are limited and applications will be evaluated upon receipt. Preference will be given to final year undergraduate and post graduate students.

Why attend?

A dedicated program will inform you about opportunities in the Medical, Technology, Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical (MTP) sector. You will receive practical information and have the opportunity to meet and network with potential employers. The exhibition includes recruiters who specialise in roles for the sector and companies looking to recruit into graduate programs.

The ARCS annual conference attracts people working in all aspects of the sector. Come prepared to learn about the different roles, network with those already in the industry and meet decision makers and recruiters.

What you need to do?

Complete an expression of interest form for the student scholarship and include evidence of university enrolment.

Applications close Friday 28 April, 5pm (if places are not filled earlier).


Student Careers Day Program

8 June 2023 (Part of the 2023 ARCS Annual Conference) 

The sessions will provide an introduction to the sector including roles of the various stakeholders and their part in bringing safe, effective and innovative therapies to patients. There will be opportunity to interact and ask questions during our panel discussions.

The MTP ecosystem encompasses a vibrant sector with a diverse range of stakeholders working together to bring innovative therapies to health consumers and patients, universities, medical research institutes, local and multinational companies, service providers, government and those involved in healthcare delivery. The program will provide a background to the sector including the roles of the various stakeholders and their part in bringing safe and effective therapies to market.

Student volunteers wanted

ARCS Australia is looking for student volunteers to assist at the 2023 Annual Conference. This is an unpaid volunteer position providing you the opportunity to meet and network with people from the sector. In the past, this opportunity has led to employment opportunities within the sector.


Dates:  Tue 6 June and Wed 7 June 2023

Venue: ICC Sydney, Darling Harbour

Times: 7:30am – 5:30pm

Tasks will include:

  • assisting with delegate registrations (via kiosks)
  • ushers to guide delegates to conference rooms
  • assisting with dinner set up on Wed Jun 6 – between 12pm and 6pm
  •  general administrative tasks to ensure the event runs smoothly
